    Weekly Sketch Group #250

    Weekly Sketch Group #250

WOOT! 250 Weekly Sketch Groups here at PencilJack, who woulda thunk it ?! Manji created the first sketch group here some 250 weeks ago, and it is still going strong! Every PJ member is welcome to post a sketch (or two ) in the weekly sketch group, so please join us this week or any week! Got a great idea for a sketch group topic you would like to draw or see your fellow artists draw? Just PM me the details and I'll endeavor to include it in a future installment!

    Here's WSG #250s topics!-

    1. Jean "Moebius" Giraud: draw any character that the legendary French comic creator created or worked on. Here's a link to jog your memory. RIP Moebius!

    2. Hanna Barbera Animation: Draw any of your favorite Hanna Barbera Animated characters!

    3. Movie Badasses: Chuck Norris.

    4. Original Character or Concept:
    By Night Robin
    The Hood

Robin Locksley grew up watching Nottingham County become crippled by Sheriff George Alderman. With a firm hold on the County’s police force and a penchant for killing anyone who gets in his way, few people in Nottingham dared to challenge the Sheriff. And as fearless reporter Meredith Fitzwalter learned, few live to challenge the Sheriff long.

Following her mother’s death, Marian Fitzwalter left Nottingham. Her resentment toward her father’s inaction and the inaction of the people as a whole proving too much. Losing the love of his life in Marian moving away, Robin’s anger boiled over.

Coming from a rich family, Robin used his wealth to acquire a costume and accessories while his vast martial arts and weapons training began to prove its use.

Now fighting the criminals of Nottingham as well as the corrupt police department, Robin has become the hero the people have needed for years. He has become the hope they can cling to and the symbol behind which they can rally and fight their oppressor. He has become.... The Hood!

DESCRIPTION: The Hood wears a jet black costume with red trim and accessories (Gloves, belt, Etc.). Chain mail throughout for extra protection. He has a hood and wears a bandana like cloth over his mouth. His eyes and the bangs of his hair are visible. He carries a short sword, dagger, quiver filled with arrows and collapsible bow on him at all times.

Robin has brown hair and green eyes. He is nineteen and stands at roughly six feet. A top notch acrobat and martial artist, Robin is in fantastic shape.

And there you have it my fellow sketch group fans! And here's to another 250 sketch groups in the near future !

How does Snake Plisskin fit into this weeks choices? It's a cool pic regardless, of course.

@hydekomiksink Great job! Love that Space Ghost! That last sketch is good too, but has more of a Kurt Russel look to it that Norris. Snake Plissken more specifically. Still awesome.

Sorry everyone. Guess i read that as "movie badasses" with 'chuck norris' as a suggestion. We'll see if I can't fix that before the week is out.

I wonder, Does everyone google everyone's art to see if they copied, or just mine?

    Kind of interesting, But whatever.

ArtonStuff. Here is a special challenge which might help you get what people are talking about how to use reference. Do a closeup of Captain Caveman (head, hands and upper body) with him tweeting about something from his smart phone.
