Thanks for the challenge Sketchbook, I had a lot of fun with this drawing. I didn't realize how fond I was of those classic pulp characters til I tried to pick just one and couldn't. Hopefully I'll get a chance to finish it off after my monthly entry is done.

The only part of this that wasn't fun was drawing those curvy letters. I hope whoever did those on the original covers was well paid. :/

Great entry, I like how well you handled the value while still keeping everything clean and direct. Extra props for the coonskin cap. Interesting that we both went for a flying shot when the topic was a car. lol

I just double checked them in a different browser and they're showing up fine for me. Anyone else having trouble seeing them? If so, I'll download and re-host them when I get home.

Sketch, nice cool pice. I really like the expression on the faces, and I'm digging that classic car. One minor crit... Supes' right arm should be going forward a bit, but it reads as if it's reaching back.

edit: Looking at it more... it's the tires that are off as well... the front grill shows that they should be forward, no?

Solace, wow, this is awesome. I really do think this is the best pummel piece you've put up. Great job here. Planning on colouring it?

Nice illustrations from both competitors, and its interesting that both went with a flying-car motif!

I thought that Solace's was the more challenging of the two and he got my vote this time around.

I gave it to Solace for the technical skills on display, but Sketchbook yours has a simple readability to it which I like.

I went for Solace on technical merit.

Your right! Thanks for pointing that out. Always good to get your eagle eyes on a drawing Juggs! I think I am going to rework this one in color that ought to give me a chance to shift things around in PS.
