I would have gone middle if it was only the first image, but the weakness of the perspective and inconsistency of the character anatomy in the second and third pics made me swing lw. The style here is nice, but I don't think it's quite strong enough to be competitive with the level the current mw's have been pushing lately.

Hmm... I'm gonna have to respectfully disagree with Solace. Sure the upper end of the Middle weights would be a bit much for her (I dunno why I'm assuming this artist is a female, but mweh), but there are some in the lower ranks of the Middles who I'm sure this artist could take in a fight. Then again, there might be a couple artists in LW who could also give this contender a tough time. I think also this artist has a good sense of design, a trait somewhat lacking in the middles. Even if her figure work isn't up to par, a colored piece with some interesting framing elements and good composition could prove a challenge against a simple pin-up.

I see some good strengths here, and I'm going to give Aahb the benefit of the doubt and vote Middle. Worse case scenario is that she gets trashed in her first few fights before being able to step up her game to a competitive level. I do agree that last pic is LW-ish. But if she can pump out pieces like the first one every month, I see no problem placing her in MW.

Emperorsteele, it's just fine, I'm not offended at all (I'm male). I've known some incredible ladies who draw awesome work, so I see nothing to be offended about at all!

I don't know if it's inappropriate to reply in ones own vote thread, if so, I sincerely apologize. However, I LOVE the feedback and constructive critique! This is EXACTLY what I was looking for here!

I went with a middleweight vote here. I'm seeing a pretty good command of at least stylized (manga-esque) anatomy in the second and third drawings and some interesting marker-work in the first and third pictures. The third picture is a pretty decent use of 2 point perspective and a worms-eye view that expresses some pathos for the character and scene we are viewing.

This fighter reminds me a bit of Acacia's style.

I think they'll do well in the Middles.
