Well it's Japanese. It means pixie or midget or something of the like. It just reminds me of the new wave of anime fans. Sounds a little too effeminate.

CRAP NEW POLL! Well my vote for Acacia still stands.
Immigrant - Great feel to this one, and I love me some humor in my chibis which you nailed. Again such tough competition and a bit too sketchy to win me over. Spidie is hard to chibi because of his rendering, and I think you took it a bit far with him. I do not care for the shading on jugs. the ghost rider really shines here though.

This challenge was amaizing. For me this was far more choosing which one i personally liked more opposed to which art is best. All of these are awesome and IMO could be considered winners for the artists. So you all get comments. And just so you know I'm a huge chibi/SD fan, and thus very opinionated:
Juggs - I'm enjoying your chibis, but for me these are not the chibi style I enjoy. I like more round and soft chibi, and for me chibis really shine with little details. I don't know if you captured enough of those little details. Movie is my fav.
Crazy - I really like your poses. IMO you may have captured the spirit of these characters the best in chibi form, but again for me I like softer chibis, and your muscle work was a little too 'bulky' for me.
Dreek - You have possibly my favorite inks on your chibis here. Your characters really shine, but your back ground really killed it for me. With this level competition there was no room for any doubt or dislikes, and that kinda took you out for me.
FCO - Man you sure didn't disappoint. You did the best job of not just drawing chibis, but putting them in an interacting scene (which for anyone that's drawn chibis is a task in it's own). Again if the competition here wasn't so spot on I may have overlooked some of this, but everyone really brought it - so no room for anything I didn't like. I did not like supes and flash, and that hurt it for me. I like very soft chibis and any extra lines and shading kinda kills it for me. Hawkgirl is perfection (details with no lines wasted). The shading on supes killed him, and the high rendering on flash I didn't like.
Acacia - Man great job, and winning my vote in this competition was hard fought. Believe it or not this is not my favorite style of chibi, but you nailed it so perfectly. These characters SCREAM chibi and the colors just really shine for me. You nailed the nice soft look and no over-rendering.

These were all fun to look at - makes me want to try a chibi character. Lots of great colors and interpretations here, but I ended up voting Fco. Francisco, you really nailed the proportions, the inks are smooth like always, and your characters just look like they're having so much fun!

jajajaj its all good guys got to say love this challenge .. well here's my 30 cents worth ..

first JUGGS: I love the mark#3 and mark#1 versions the best classic shiny armor good stuff . (ps I forgive you its not like it'll change anything ;p)
CRAZYDIAMOND:the Flash and Bane got to give it to you oh and wonder-women is awesome man.

Dreekzilla:love the pope the best jaja classic love the colors fits in well with your energy on this one

Acacia: man you got a classic chibi style going on right here man love the style going on here the nailed pose on super-man and wonder-woman are classic oh the flash nice suit ;p

These are all so very well done! You all did an incredible job, and your takes on the characters are fun and diverse. I had a very hard time choosing my favorite. They are all so good.

Everyone did a great job! Was super fun to be part of this brawl hahaha

Fcoesquivel's are my favorite; they're just so....chubby and cute! Great dynamic actiony poses too~


My favorite from everyone's are:

Juggertha's Movie version Iron Man (good pose, and I like how he's "interacting" with the background)

Crazy Diamond's Joker (creepy-but-awesome face, and nice flat colors)

Dreekzilla's Rick (...I actually don't really know the other characters. I love me some Walking Dead though!)

Fcoesquivel's Superman (classic pose, but rendered so well! and he's so chubby!!)

Immigrant's Spiderman (the chibi/skinny style works really well for Spidey!)


I hope there'll be more fun challenges like this next time! I'll try to spend more time on mine and make a background 'n stuff ^^;;
