False reps being made?

Speaking for myself, I have a low tolerance for this kind of thing for the reasons you stated. Purposefully trying to pit one person against the other in this kind of underhanded way, is definitely a dick move.

This person should spend more time doing something constructive, like fixing issues with their artwork, rather than play these types of mind games with people.

Yeah, There was a member who seems to have a troll hair up his butt and decided to go on a negative rep, sign someone else's name to it spree. I banned him for a week over it and there is discussion in the mod forum to see if any further action should be taken.

If it is who I think it is the guy hasn't added much to the community in a long time, and he seems to just want to troll around and say contrary things to stir the crap up. I really don't think that kind of person is necessary in a supportive community like PJ even if they are a long standing member.

This forum needs people that are helpful, honest, pleasant, ... and hopefully, skilled.

The guy who got temp banned over this is none of those things.

Seriously, if you're missing one of the above, no problem. But if none of those qualities are a part of you, I worry about what you're adding to this community.

As your all probably aware (or not), I've not been on the forums for months, so I can't comment on their recent behaviour. A week ban with the threat of a total ban seems an appropriate response to this, however.

Why are reps anonymous anyway? In the past I have got so many unwarranted negative reps just for having an opinion people didn't agree with.

Getting negative rep for giving out a controversial opinion is perfectly OK.

The first time I got neg rep was when I made the comment that there is not one piece of art that couldn't be improved with the use of Photoshop's Lense Flare filter (I was kidding), which I thought was funny and laughed off.

I actually always thought that it was visible for all to see who gave rep to them. I never signed mine because I thought ppl knew who was giving it.

for what it's worth i don't think a permanent Ban is necessary.And he has has done some overlays of my art that did help out,so in that respect he does contribute.But as I said thats just my 2 cents.
