I've always liked your stuff and there have been other pieces that you've done that are closer to Heavyweight rank, but I wound up voting Light Heavyweight, as these pieces are good, but maybe not the best I've seen you do.
(man, are these captchas even words....?)
Wow, you've got some great linework! I really like the dynamic action, especially in the Hulk picture!
I can't vote, but I can definitely see you doing well in the light heavies too!
I really enjoy the figure work.. but wish there was some background/scene immersion.

Thanks Juggertha, i'm seriously learning on the fly. I haven't dove into back grounds at all( soon) I figure i would try the pummel as it allows me to complete pieces and grow as an artist.
This also forces me to learn BG and try new things. I also dont line shade my work on purpose as im learning the ropes.
I want to vote light-heavy thinking that may be were you are pushed the most to develop. My gut tells me to do that but my head, based on the samples here and lack of backgrounds tells me middle. So I'm torn.
Based on what you said about wanting to push yourself and grow, I think I'll go ahead and say Light-heavy. But you'll definitely have to dive into adding backgrounds to your work if you want to climb the ranks.

Agreed. Figure work alone won't get you through that weight class.

I absoutely love the Rogue one.
Thanks dfbovey and Juggertha
I do understand ill need to background for sure. I wish i had something kicking around to show but i really don't. Whatever class placement i'm in it doesn't matter to me. I'm doing this for personal growth. I've looked into the LHW division there are some really talented artists. If i get smack down that's fine as long as i improve with each piece i produce.
Everyone has to start somewhere. MW or LHW so be a good time.
The Hulk is the strongest piece up there by a long shot and makes me thing LH, but I also remember what it looked like before the revisions and it was more a MW like the other two. I'm concerned that your entries won't be able to have that same feedback and revision process, and you'll be overwhelmed in the LH with pieces like the other two.
I was on the fence about it before reading the comments, but after your comments on not drawing backgrounds before, I voted MW. Those guys are no slouches and I think fellas like Sketchbook, Hangman, and Marcelino can definitely push you to improve and expand your skill set.
it’s as if he figured that sheer repetition would wear them down, forcing them to submit to his strange, incompetent genius.
