I'm saying move it forward a few days. If you move it back, people will just be busy with holiday stuff the whole time anyways and it probably won't effect the turnout much. Just my take.
Considering most people don't start their drawing at the start of the month anyways. I say just move it forward so people can get it done and then concentrate on Christmas.

Part of me thought that having a two month deadline might edge people closer to doing up bigger pictures/sequentials... but then I thought of sequential mania and wondered if that would really be helping at all.
It looks like the 25th falls on a Sunday this year, so moving the deadline up to the 23rd (a Friday) would probably be a good solution? After having seen how the Sequential Mania and Bovey's 2 month deadline thing back around the start of this year went it would would probably mean that 75% of everyone would just wait until a couple days out from the deadline in January to get started if it were delayed until then !
My vote is for no change. We're all adults and we can make estimates on our use of time and the demands of the season. But it might be good to let people who finish earlier send their work to a commissioner for safe keeping. Some people may not want to let the cat out of the bag with a piece finished early.
There are only two kinds of artists: Bad artists and bad artists who refuse to quit.

one thing is... if memory serves, ALL of the commissioners have kids.
Perhaps thinking that we'll pick up the slam at this time of year might not be the best strategy.
Making the deadline a little earlier like the 23rd sounds reasonable. I know that means a few guys will have to start their pieces a couple of days early, but still....
