Maybe I am biased, but I know the series really well, and Basil couldn't have captured it any better. If you look at his image and you like what you see, you'd probably enjoy the manga. I know CW didn't like the subject, but you basically stuck to your first sketch which you posted up on the day you received the topic, which is like 25 days ago or something You're heart obviously wasn't in this one, I hope you get to pick the topic next time so you can show us your worth. As for basil, great value painting! You're a speedmachine!

This is a pretty one-sided contest. Basil owned the subject matter here. That's clearly Fist of North Star. And he's doing what FONS does... he's killing a dude with tsubo punches.

I don't know the subject at all, so I'm kind feelin CW's (possible) pain here. It's really hard to take on something you know nothing about.

Artistically, CW's is good, but I'll echo the others in saying that this didn't stretch beyond his initial sketch. Basil, you rocked this one, man. Good on ya.

If CW had watched the anime, he would have been definitely inspired. I haven't watched it in more than a decade and a lot of the imagery is still fresh in my head.

CW yours is enjoyable, and I love the pile of skulls, but Basil nailed it. Basil great energy, and even though I'm not super familiar with the subject matter, I still recognized the dude on sight. Nice work.

Wow Basil i almost didnt vote for yours cause it doesnt look like much when its same but then i clicked it and damn its cool! CW you had a good idea but it looks like with all the blacks that you were hiding the guy and that killed it
