There have been talks that their budget got cut. I'm not sure what it is now but the first GR was just over 100 million so if your cutting less then yeah they won't be able to hire ILM or Weta or they were busy.
My S button i screwed up and doesn't work all the time. So i have to jam it in for it to work.

I heard it's 70 million budget but whatever. Cage took a paycut too from what I hear. Thats the biggest budget Neveldine/Taylor ever had anyways. Effects look good to me. Looks better than the first. That scene where GR tosses the guy with the chain is still freaking awesome.
EDIT: I think people need to start thinking of special effects as artistry instead of this thing where you just pump money into it and it looks better. ILM and Weta are good because they hire the great people.
