What do you think, what are the biggest blunders people have made in pummel?

Sounds like you've got something on your mind, Juggs. Why don't you start us off.

I think the term blunder is a bit loaded. I can only assume that people do what they do for a reason. A blunder implies (to me) that the intent was honest and the result was catastrophic. I can't say that I've ever seen any blunders here. I've seen some (presumably deliberate) "crazy shit" though.

Haha...I take it back, my streetfight against Juggs might qualify. I honestly thought I was going to end up with a relatively good piece, but it didn't turn out that way at all.

Ah, I know we have two threads of rules posted up, but it seems like every month or so we run into a minor situation. Swiping, stealing, lying, flaming, ... And so on.

For me, the worst someone could do is to steal another person's work and then lie about it after.

Beyond that, disappearing for large lengths of time really pisses me off too. If you're not able to fight, post up what you've got. If you've got nothing, say so. But there's been a number of people who just sort of drift out the door with the wind.

As for funny blunders, I'd say that challenging Bovey or Hades to a SF would qualify pretty high. lol

I met someone a few months ago that used to be in Pummel but was kicked out because he was having friends log on and vote for him...I'm guessing this was before the public polls and when you didn't have to have much of a post count to vote.
    Obviously that's not cool.

Good example...and I remember that one. "Friends" from the same IP and such.

Yeah, I'd put that pretty high on the list too.

I agree, that absolute worst thing I could think of someone doing in PUMMEL would be copying some other artists work, line-for line. A pure swipe. And then try passing it off as their own. Not sure if there has been an actual case of this, though? (someone will refresh my memory if I'm wrong, though )

One thing that bothers me is the last-minute no-show or the no-notice no-show where your opponent just disappears on you. I can understand that real-life issues pop up or people have computer or scanner problems, though. I think I've had my opponents no-show on me 2 or 3 times, the most recent being PLOG (which was, strangely, a relief, as he KO'd me the previous month and probably would have done it again ).

There are probably other issues, but these are the ones I can think of right now.

I'm getting a clearer picture of what you mean by blunder, although with the addition of "cheating" to the mix, I would suggest "bungled" might be a better term.
