    Weekly Sketch Group #219

    Weekly Sketch Group #219

Greetings fellow Sketch Groupers! Welcome to another weekly installment of the Sketch Group where wild, wonderful, and sometimes weird topics are put out there for you all to draw! Manji the Magic Moderator hasn't returned from his search for the holy grail of hamburgers and so I will continue to rule the roost, wisely, in his stead. As always, the sketch group is open to any and all Penciljack members who wish to submit a drawing or sketch based upon one of the weekly topics. Put as much or as little work into it as you like, this is all about putting pencil to paper, or stylus to expensive wacom-device ! If any of you have any suggestions as to future topics, please PM me and I will do my best to include them in a future installment of the sketch group; this weeks topics are ALL suggestions by your fellow PJers!

And now, on to this week's turbulent topics:

    1. Franken-Castle: It seems someone turned the Punisher into Frankenstein's monster!

    2. Any Member of the 27 Club: (famous musicians who died @27......LINK)

    3. An Original Concept or Character: (as written by SRScribe)

    Toby Foster - Cub Scout/Adventurer

MC of an all-ages concept I've drummed up inspired by my nephew's current Scout experiences. Makes me wish I was one growing up.

Toby is an 12 year old Boy Scout who lives in the fictional bay town of Timber Creek. He's a model member of the Scouts, a bright boy and an adventurer at heart.

Obsessed with local legends and campfire tales, Toby routinely plans expeditions for his friends who collectively refer to themselves as the 'Danger Dogs'. In and around the Timber Creek wilderness the Dogs sniff out suspicious goings-on and explore in the name of adventure.

Toby is the boy who's growing faster than his friends. He's the one the other Danger Dogs look up to. He's generally more athletic and stronger than his friends and leads naturally.

I imagine his dress is a combination of regulation Scout uniform and his casual outdoor clothes--a plain t-shirt and cargo pants with a scout hat on, maybe. I don't know much about current child fashion .

Pose, maybe he's peering into the darkness with a flashlight or reading the compass and handbook simultaneously at a fork in the trail. Or Close-up of Toby pulling back a slingshot.

And there you have it! Sharpen those pencils and prepare for another week of serious sketchin'!

@wender1: Nice job on the Franken-Castle sketch! Gonna have to draw one of those myself before the week is over.

Here is one of SRScribe's original character: Toby leader of the Danger Dogs-
