He got inspired by the Hulk.

Wasn't there actually a silly storyline in the comics a while ago where Superman decided he needed to walk across the country, reconnect with the common man and meet al kinds of interesting people across America? Could be somewhat similar in this film, travel the world as a young man, to meet the people that give him the reason to become the man of steel.

Which would make it very similar to batman begins, but I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

Trailer looked pretty cool and makes me want to see more. But then again, the teaser for Superman returns was pretty awesome as well, and while I don't hate that film, it certainly didn't live up to the standard Batman begins had set up at that time.

didn't it leak LAST YEAR that this version of superman would be "finding himself in the world"? Pics of him helping people with the beard were around a long time ago.

Yeah, no-longer-worthy-of-my-cash JMS came up with that "walk the earth" storyline. Ridiculous. And the general public will find it just as ridiculous as comic readers found it.

I don't understand why they didn't restart from Point A with this one. This is one story that needs the origin rebooted.

He isn't Superman while roaming the earth. he's Clark. He's trying to figure out what he needs to do...

I remember the teaser for Batman begins was just the bat symbol with music or something like that. This was a pretty good teaser.

Kinda reflects scenes in the Donner Superman films also. When he first left the farm to build the fortress, and when he left the fortress after removing his powers.

They may be borrowing from Earth One with the "finding himself" bit.

Which was better than the "Grounded" arc.
