The sixth of the written-sketches just went up with Weekly Sketch Group #223. I've got enough written sketches to take me into October, but keep `em coming anyhow ! This has turned into a great way to get the Artists drawing original topics and to get the Writers involved outside of the writing-area here on PJ.
Here is Webster Wolf's written sketch from WSG #223:
I need a new character, a werewolf. BUT this werewolf needs a new look, based on the person's lycanthropy being a form of demonic possession. The demon is a skinny, sickly, imp- style. The person's twisted shape should not resemble a creature of nature like wolf or bear. I want them stretched into a grotesque rat/wolf-like shape because of the elongation.
The seventh of the written-sketches as created by the writers here on Penciljack went up on Weekly Sketch Group #224 last night. I've got future installments in my inbox for the next 3-4 weeks, but if you would like to participate, don't hesitate to PM me with your short character sketch or original concept and I will include it in the order in which they are received! Thanks!
Here's the latest one from Favorite-N:
Limon is the adolescent (3-5 years old) half breed daughter of a human and a Vernash. In the clash of planetary conflict two members of the opposite species found love and spawned. To help clarify what a Vernash is; they are a race of beings made up of electrical impulses forming into a gelatinous mold from a sacred pool called the gene seed. Referencing a jelly fish might help.
The major difference for Limon is that her body was conceived in Leena, a human, and not the gene seed. So while she will have human characteristics (i.e. face, legs, arms and hands) there is something very squid like about Limon. Her limbs should look like they aren’t made up of bones but of muscle like the tentacles of a squid and her skin should be fairly bumpy or coarse. Her hair has difficulty growing so it should almost be in single strands here and there. Not the prettiest apple in the basket but what she lacks in looks she makes up for in demeanor.
Being born to a human several years into planetary conquest from an aggressive alien species has made her brave and comfortable in the war torn world that she lives. Her disposition is usually serene or happy. She may be seen carrying her favorite tattered stuffed animal or playing a game of kick the rock.
Weekly Sketch Group #225 just went up and with it a new written character sketch from PencilJack's own Greg Anderson. I have enough of the written sketches to go another couple of weeks, and can always use more (hint, hint !). So if you would like to have characters you've written drawn by a group of artists, PM me with the details and I will use your written sketch in a future installment of the sketch group!
Here's Greg's character sketch:
Jeremy Tableau. Good looking black male, early 20s. Tends to wear fine suits or dress clothing, often white. Usually ties and a hat. He's based on the African-American trickster archetype so he's cocky, sly, sarcastic, sexual. He's known as the Black Sheep among the magic community (known as the UnderUnderworld). He's a bit of a trouble maker and just likes to have fun and goes on adventures as he's a thrill seeker. He'd also get himself into trouble just to see how he'll get out of it. He's also "entangled" in the world of Vodou and other Caribbean/African based myths with some Greek.
Powers: From his father, he has a connection to the Vodou Loa faith, limited possession, and has potential of untapped magick. The potential comes from the fact that his father is a twin and in the Vodou faith, twins have huge power. Their power can pass on to their off-spring as if they were twins themselves. From his mother's side, who's a priestess of Apollo, he has some pyrokinetic abilities, immunization to heat and fire, limited teleportation, and some divination. Despite all these gifts, he usually uses his head as he's not really trained in all of those abilities.
You can find other pictures of the character on my thread where I collect his adventures I write for the Writing Contests.
Weekly Sketch Group #226 just went up and Comrade Hero submitted some character sketches for this week's group. I have enough written-sketches to last the next 3 or 4 Weekly Sketch Groups, but if you would like to have your characters or concepts illustrated by a bunch of different artists, PM me the information and I'll put you on the list!.
Here's Comrade Hero's character sketches:

Aleksandr Alexandrovich Biryukov was born with latent metahuman potential but this did not manifest until he was in his mid-thirties. Aside from being slightly healthier and fitter than most men his age, there was no indication that Aleksandr was anything other than a normal human.
It took massive exposure to lethal cosmic rays and radiation, exposure to the extreme environment of space, re-entry into Earth's atmosphere from Low Earth Orbit, and crash landing in Antarctica, to activate Aleksandr's metahuman potential.
As Comrade Hero, Aleksandr's Powers are derived from his unique metahuman physiology and the unknown cosmic energies surging within him. So far Comrade Hero has demonstrated a degree of imperviousness to harm, regenerative and recuperative abilities, and enhanced physical attributes and sensory abilities.
The massive exposure to cosmic radiation permanently affected Comrade Hero at a cellular and genetic level. He is constantly absorbing and storing energy and radiation that is used to support a variety of powers. The full extent of this potential has yet to be realized and whether Comrade Hero's abilities are completely terrestrial in origin has yet to be answered.
Four Five Two

Four Five Two is a Fourth Generation Thesan Protégé, the engineered 'daughter' of Comrade Hero and the main antagonist, Operations. Like all of the Thesan Protégés, Four Five Two was tank-bred and accelerated to late adolescence over a period of weeks and days.Four Five Two is one the few Thesan Protégés to survive the Ascension Protocols without permanent physical and psychological damage.
As an Ascended Thesan Protégé, Four Five Two has been enhanced physically and psychologically, and has only just begun to explore the potential she possesses.
The downside to being an Ascended Thesan Protégé is that the 'genetic memories' of Comrade Hero and Operations are more pronounced in Four Five Two, and directly affects her personality much more heavily. As such Four Five Two exhibits traits and behaviors that are one part her own, and two parts those of her biological parents - Comrade Hero and Operations.
Four Five Two exhibits the same resistance to injury, regeneration from harm, and enhanced physical and mental attributes characteristic of all Thesan Protégé’s. Since surviving the Ascension Protocols it is unknown how much further these metahuman abilities will develop and evolve.

Operations is director of the Thesan Project and 'mother' to the Thesan Protégés, most notably Four Five Two. Operations physical and psychological makeup, including her appearance has been genetically engineered by the Danica Foundation.
Operations has displayed Computer and Technology Manipulation, Mind, Body and Emotion Control (Others) and possesses a monstrous intellect with a photographic, photo-reflexive, and eidetic memory.
Operations can remotely access, manipulate and control technology, machinery, and electronic devices as easily as she can invade, override and dominate the human mind, making her a particularly dangerous opponent.
Operations has demonstrated the ability to remotely 'interface' with and control and operate equipment and devices like surveillance cameras, computer systems, cellular phones, and semi-autonomous defense systems.
Operations has also shown that she can take over the minds and bodies of the Thesan Guards and assume full control over a large number of them at once.

Deathstroke (DC): http://bit.ly/q40oHr
Taskmaster (Marvel): http://bit.ly/n9iT7y
Anderson is an employee of the Danica Foundation's Health and Safety division, assigned to the Thesan Project.
Anderson fulfills the role of executive assistant to Operations and acts as her personal attaché, confidante, and bodyguard. Anderson has a diverse skills set that combines scientific, legal and business expertise with extensive military and intelligence experience.
Anderson has shown that he can hold his own against a variety of opponents, including the genetically engineered Thesan Guards and Protégés with apparent ease - matching the physical abilities of the genetic constructs with apparent ease.
Anderson utilizes a variety of firearms and melee, ranged and improvised weapons to take down opponents with a lethal degree of proficiency and expediency. Anderson is equally as dangerous an opponent to face unarmed as he is armed.
Anderson moves with surprising speed and agility, and can calculate and react to an opponent’s actions (and reactions) with a degree of timing and accuracy that borders on the preternatural.
Weekly Sketch Group #227 just went up and with it another of the written-sketches dealing with an original character or concept. This one was written by SRScribe. If you would like to submit a written-sketch for the sketch group PM me your short story or concept and I'll include it in a future sketch group in the order in which it was recieved. Here's this week's submission:
Set in the Celtic Iron Age, the traveling sorcerer known as Devil Druid wanders the land in search of artifacts of power, arcane beings and all things magical. Though his quest is unknown, chaos and destruction often lie in his wake. Despite being feared and only mentioned in whispers, he is generally thought to be more myth than man.
Devil Druid wears a grey traveling cloak over grey robes. He wears a set of leather bracers, as well as leather belts, packs and satchels beneath his robes. He carries a long wooden arcane staff that doubles as a sword-cane. Most notable is Devil Druid's face which is always concealed by a great grey hood. It is said no one has seen his face except for his eyes, which in battle burn with magical fire.

Weekly Sketch Group #228 just went up and with it another written sketch of an original character or concept. If you would like to take a crack at writing one of the original characters or concepts for the sketch group and let a bunch of different artists take a crack at drawing your character, PM me with the details and I will include it in a future sketch group. I have enough of the written sketches to last the next month or so worth of sketch groups, but am always eager to have more !
Here's the latest original character sketch as submitted by Zepster:
Dragon is a D&D style warrior working with a super human team named CAPTURE. He is heavily built ( Thor lines rather than the Hulk ), wears chainmail and wields an evil looking dragon themed two handed sword ( in addition to a smorgasbord of medieval bloodletting ironmongery that would give any DM a conniption fit over encumbrance rules ).
He is missing half his left ear, bearded and bald. He has a dragon tattoo that covers a lot of his face and arches back over his head. In addition to massive strength and consummate skill with the sword Dragon is capable of hurling mystical bolts of energy and gifted with near mystical tracking abilities. He is sensitive to magic.
His cover story is that he is a dimensional exile looking for a way home. In actual fact he is a Dragon posing as a human to keep an eye on upstart humanity. Humans have made quite a splash over the last hundred years or so and the Dragon Empire hasn’t lasted as long as it has by ignoring potentially powerful enemies.
He was a little worried by the arrival of his new teammate Thunder ( whom he knows can penetrate his disguise and knows fine well about the Dragon Empire ) but given that he has as much dirt on Thunder as Thunder has on him both have settled for amicable silence.
His loyalty to the Dragon Empire is absolute and you could forget any namby pamby soul searching if he was ordered to betray CAPTURE.
Weekly Sketch Group #229 just went up, and with it a new Original Character or Concept as written by your Writing Moderator CBikle! If you'd like to have a bunch of different artists take a crack at drawing one of your characters or concepts, PM me with the details and I will use it in a future Sketch Group!
Here's CBikle's Blue Torch:
Blue Torch: - basically, a silver-age superhero who generates blue fire energy constructs from a mystic blue torch - more info below for anyone who needs it.
ORIGIN: In 1956, astronaut Jerry Blake stumbles across the Mystic Blue Torch, a powerful magical artifact that he used to fight crime and injustice from 1956 until the day he disappeared in 1985. Official member of the Society of liberty and unofficial member of Frank Sinatra's "Rat Pack".
COSTUME: Traditional silver-age costume with the same general design and color scheme (dark blue gloves, boots, shorts and partial head mask [his clean-shaven jawline is revealed] extending into cape with a light blue bodysuit with yellow belt and trim) as the golden-age Blue Torch. The general fit of the costume is closer to that of a 1960's era Air Force flight suit with the 60's era "Blue Torch" insignia emblazoned on the chest of his uniform. He wields a Mystic blue metallic torch (described below) which gives him his powers.
PHYSIQUE: In shape, but not bodysculpted like Stallone or Schwarzennager were in the 80's; Jerry was in the Air Force so he's in good enough shape for a superhero who smokes, drinks and eats steak for breakfast (hey, it's what they did in the 50's and 60's). Use George Reeves in his Superman outfit as a rough guideline for how the Blue Torch looks in his tights.
THE MYSTIC TORCH: A blue metallic torch, but feel free to make it look as ornate and ancient as you'd like.
POWERS: Basically, "Green Lantern" style energy constructs made of blue fire (like a boxing glove, baseball bat, etc) that emanate from the Mystic Torch.
Weekly Sketch Group #230 just went up and with it another of the written sketches submitted by one of the Writers here on PJ! This time out is is Addingtron with two brief character sketches. If you would like to have one of your characters or concepts sketched by artists in the weekly sketch group PM me the details and I will include it in a future sketch group.
Here's this week's written sketch by addingtron:
Ogo the terror is the world's largest dwarf. He has dwarfish proportions but is 12 feet tall. He carries an enormous cudgel with a shaped head, and wears the skin of a polar bear over his back and head. around his chest he wears a necklace skulls.
Here's another one.
Heckadile is a demonic crocodile the size of a city bus. His body is wreathed in flames and he has all the horrifyingly twisted and accentuated features that you would expect of a Hell crocodile. His only love is the flesh of the living.
I know from the WSG these might be a little shorter than normal, but I like giving people a lot of room to move!
Weekly Sketch Group #231 just went up a few minutes ago, and it includes a written sketch by Favorite-N. I currently have another 3-4 written sketches to use in future sketch groups, so if you would like to have your original character or concept appear in a future sketch group PM me the details and I'll include it in the order in which it was submitted to me!
Here's Favorite N's written sketch:
The human race is loosing a war between two hostile alien forces. But that doesn’t mean they are going to be giving up anytime soon. They will adapt and learn and fight to the death. Which is something their alien overlords would approve of…Anyway, none has tunred into a more fierce fighter than aka Coral. She was the girl next door, didn’t pay attention to school, paid too much attention to boys and when the sky fell and Earth was Breached she, like everyone else didn’t know what to do. But things have changed, years have gone by and now she is a battle hardened veteran of the few humans that are left.
By this point in time Coral is in her early twenties, keeps her hair short, wears a snowboarding helmet that says "Fa-Q" on the front. She wears goggles that look like they belong to a welder or doctor octopus, they can be dangling from her neck or covering her eyes. She has boots that she tapes around her ankles cause her shoe laces are being used to hold her pants up which are tattered cargo pants with lots of dirt caked on. Knee pads used for gardening. She wears a tank top under a heavy trench. Her gloves are the kind you would expect a homeless person to wear and her pride and joy is her HK MP5-10 which can be seen - HERE -
She is badass incarnate and the only time you’ll see her smile is when she’s blowing something up, killing something in her way or sleeping with whatever guy has the energy to give her her dues back at home base.
Another new week and that means another new weekly sketch group, and with it we've got another written sketch as provided by the writers here on PencilJack! This one comes from Billy Certain and features a character he calls "The Sherlockian".
If you would like one of your original characters or concepts to be included in a future sketch group where (hopefully) a variety of different artists will draw it, PM me the details and I'll include it in the order in which I recieve them!
Here's Billy Certain's written sketch:
The Sherlockian was built by french scientist Doctor Arnaud Babe who is a gigantic fan of the Sherlock Holmes stories written by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Built within the same era as Sherlock Holmes, the late 18th - early 19th century, it has a very steam punk like vibe. However, when Doctor Babe dies, The Sherlockian seeks to unravel the mystery and avenge Babe's death.
The Sherlockian has a metal smoking pipe attached to its mouth which acts like a ventilation shaft. It has a gate for its mouth as well, enabling its electronic vocal box to be able to speak. It also has a monocle and top hat, both metal. The Sherlockian can fly as well due to jet propulsion methods built into its feet. Its physique is tall and skinny, as Sherlock Holmes was.
Artists are welcome to add other touches to the character, like a suit jacket that would be fitting of the time, maybe a metallic mustache, and whatever else they want to add.
Though The Sherlockian has no powers so to speak, it has an artificial intelligence which was modeled after Sherlock Holmes, that classic "Holmesian Deduction". The Sherlockian is skilled in cane fighting. It carries both a walking cane and a revolver.
The Sherlockian also has a pet robotic dog named Watson, also built by Babe. Its model reflects that of an English Bulldog.
