Cartoon had multicolor bandanas while the comic they all wore red. Which in turn creates the fact they would only need red cloth. The multicolor thing is something that was added later but lets not forget that Comics are the law of the true origin. Each adaption changes its history and there is no continuity errors because they aren't in the same continuity. Just remember Venus no one else does.
