Don't sell yourself short, Willesee...I actually prefer your Batman. It's got a nice vibe to it. I think you have a strong grasp on the character.
Now if you put more effort into the BG and Killer Croc, this would be a killer piece.....in fact, even tho the polls already up, you should take this pic and polish it up. Add some background, keep it as portfolio piece....because I really think it could wind up being one of your stronger pics!!

Solidarity, my LW brother! I agree with Dann. Your Batman is exactly the kind of Batman I like. AA's piece is super cool, and certainly more finished, but I found the bird's eye view kinda distracting (I wouldn't really have known how to read it if not for the cars.)

Not makin' fun, but kinda looks more like Killer Alligator! Aren't they the ones with the more elongated snouts? Nice work tho, both.

I think Will has a better composition going. Very easy to read, nice action.

I get a little confused looking at Armstrong's. Not sure what the little bat symbols are in a row and batman's leg is past the thug, but his punch hasn't reached the thug's face yet. Also got confused on the dismembered arm, but I realized what it was. I think the other problem with the perspective is that the building isn't converging to the vanishing point quickly enough.

I like your piece will. I agree with Dann I would be very interested in seeing that killing croc worked out with the same lighting as batman. I think you have got something here.

@Walt the 'bat symbols' are gargoles. I was afraid of that. Damn and if you look at the figure batman's back is on a flat plane to the viewer and the thug (who is Deadshot by the way) is in a more upright position so his left leg goes past batman.
