EEK! public domain characters sketch group #6-iron maiden loves you...^^;...:D

alrite so week 6 is upon us ...well in good news we have a great hero and a great villainess and a big lion ....

    backgrounder:
something i have been meaning to get at for awhile(pondered a sketch a day with these characters ) is drawing/reinventing these old public domain heroes here- http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Characters . format will be *three characters per week and any and all are welcome to join .

new topic will be on saturday , keep in mind with these characters most of them are golden age and there will be little to no reference(maybe just one pic) so use your imagination and do what you want, a faithful recreation or reinvent the character entirely.

koroo the black lion, gullivar jones, and iron maiden are week 6 pdcsg characters:

    koroo's page is here-http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Koroo_the_Black_Lion

    gullivar jones's page is here-http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Gullivar_Jones
    reference pic-

    iron maiden's page is here-http://pdsh.wikia.com/wiki/Iron_Maiden

I went with the Gulliver of Mars thing for my first crack at this week's topics. Was a bit shocked to see how close it was to the whole John Carter Warlord of Mars thing done about 25 years later.

Thanks to Selkirk for coming up with the topics for this week, they are more challenging this week than in weeks past, though !

Really quick take on Iron Maiden. In my world, criminal masterminds where thongs.

I am late - as usual... I wanted forshortening soo badly so I have struggled I dunno how much over this one. Still, I am not sure it's ok, but not bad for sure. Anyhow I join in the series of your good pics, guys. Klortho, that pirate-look rocks. And I also like the expression Saun and Dan gave their figures. Also like the colours on Chuckamo's piece and also Zippy's shading. Selkirk, it's not a nice thing to miss a character redisgn in your own thread :-P

    The Birth of Iron Maiden

    Character background
Charlotte knew nothing. She was an ordinary schoolgirl fidgeting around boys, painting her fingernails pink and watching Dallas. But the mysterious Overlord was secretly watching her, and found all the abilities in her he had needed: power, agility, cunning intelligence(?) and the most important - purity. And a shiny day turned into the darkest of nights when a great black car appeared from nowhere and took Charlotte.
When she opened her eyes again she found herself shackled at a dark place, menacing machines shrieking all around pointing razor sharp, bony fingers at her. Frozen with terror she saw an iron mask, a mask of the worst nightmares decending upon her to be connected to her face once and for ever.
She was to become the liutenant of the metal forces , the grimm Iron Maiden.

It would be too easy to get foreshortening wrong and make it look like a giant mask sitting right next to her, instead of a form-fitting mask being lowered from above, but you did it right. Great job.
