We'll be performing some upgrades today, and so we'll have some downtime. See this thread for details.

Okay folks - we just upgraded pretty much everything there is to upgrade, including the forum software itself. You may witness some sluggishness over the next few hours as the cache is built up again, but I'm actually seeing incredibly improved performance across the board. I hope you see the same, but let me know if not. I'll try to provide a rundown of the new features available as well.

Yup much appreciated. I'd like to ask one thing though it seems that the forum is now at a different url 'http://www.penciljack.com/forum/forum.php' instead of where it used to be at 'http://www.penciljack.com/forum/' is this on purpose or just a by-product of the upgrade?
Either way glad to see this place up and running.

I think the issue with not being able to have expiring polls will be resolved with the software upgrade. Can't verify though from my blackberry. But with today being pummel deadline it'll be a cool thing to have fixed!

That's a by-product of the vB4 suite. I may try to move the forum to the root directory to avoid the extra hop eventually; I'll see what other options are available.
