Sorry about the long pause in activity. I was in the process of a long move (not distance, time). I actually moved across the hall in my apartment building, so we had the keys for the new and old apartments for three weeks, thus elongating the move.
However, I'm pretty much back to normal now. So with no further delay, Dead Kittens page 13 in progress.
I like everything about the first panel except Jane, I dunno, it needs more foreshortening, as it is it looks more like she's waving nervously while doing some kind of ballet move.
Panel 4 the kids fingers shouldn't be cropped, I know you don't want his hand covering up her face, but still,
pooks pretty good though! glad to see your stuff back up.

You need to pose out the shirt pulling to make it convincing.
Panel 4 and 5 looks like her right hand has gone through his shirt.
Panel 5 has her left hand without any shirt. Her face is kind of dead here. What's the emotion?
And yes foreshortening in panel 1 needs work.

Thanks guys, couldn't agree more. I might have to try a few different poses in panel one. I wasn't quite digging her movement in it anyways. I whent with it because my other ideas felt a little too cartoon flail-y.
I'll get back to this page tomorrow, I need my fiance here to take a few reference photo's for the shirt pulling (so glad her feet work again =)..)
And Symson, I'm so glad to be back, it was way too hard getting through this page. I think I lost my confidence taking so much time off. Probably why I did so much other stuff before I got back to the comic.
looks good. I don't have anything to say that hasn't been mentioned. Will this scene be featuring a version of my suggested dialog? Based on their behavior I am guess yes. Keep up the good work, hollar at me whenever you get time about the cover. No rush. I am swamped anywise.
Yes it does actually. I think I took at least ninety percent of your suggestions as they worked really well. I also made a change to the next scene with Jane and Kay. I put in on a city bus so I wouldn't be doing the hotel room three times in one issue.
I'll definitely let you know as soon as I get back to the cover. I was afraid I had lost you for good. =). I've been having issues lately.. my motivation is there, but my routine has gotten all messed up. Somehow it's messed with my head and made it hard to get a good running start again. It's mainly the reference part that I'm getting bogged down on. Did you get my last e-mail with the sketch in of Kite on the cover? I sent it from my new Deadkittens address.
I did not get the sketch. It might have ended up in spam. I looked through the recent stuff in spam but didn't see it, try sending it again. As for motivation I know how that can be related to routine. To be a good artist having a controlled routine has always helped me. The second something changes, no work seems to get done.
