    Speed Drawing Group week #42

    Shoot for 10-15 minutes.
All mediums are permitted, but, traditional mediums are encouraged.
This is not a competition, the goal here is to reinterpret the image as best you can within the time limit.

Keep the drawing fairly loose and fluid.
    Try blocking in quick shapes.
Maintain composition as best as you can. If you want to change the figure so its more fun, that's fine, just try to maintain the actual overall composition.
Try to add values to help bring out the form.

    No Tracing.
Try not to use an overlay.
Try not to use a color picker if painting digitally. Try to train your eye to identify colors.
Try not to get too hung up on the details. Instead, focus more on the overall composition and basic anatomy 1st. Details after if time permits.

Again this is new to me so if anyone has any suggestions for improvements or tips and pointers please let me know.

Most of all, just have fun!!

I chose the architecture picture. I probably spent closer to 20 minutes instead of 15. The sides where it looks more rushed were added after the 15 minute mark. I'm pretty happy with this one.

I would be interested in hearing a review of the liquid pencil too. I didn't know they were available in stores yet.
