I like these both for different reasons.

JM Schwager has a nice piece here with the feel of a classic painting. I like his heavens and I like his classical looking anatomy... however while his Atlas has a pained face, his pose does not suggest great struggle of any kind. He may as well be holding a broomstick across his shoulders and have just felt a cramp in his side. Overall, however I think this one has beautiful color and a nice look.

ManofSilver81 doesn't have quite as pretty of a piece... but the drama is solid. That Atlas is struggling. Crouched low with the heavens on his back and shoulders and the sweat on the brow... add to that the chains and the cloudy "fog machine" setting and it adds a mythical feel to the piece. Atlas' right foot needs a SERIOUS repair... but the piece has a strong feel of urgency to it and I like that.

This was a tough choice and I think with a little more dynamic posing, JM Schwager might have taken this one all the way home... but the stagnant characters aren't quite doing it for me... I have to roll with ManofSilver81 for bringing the drama.

    Great work both.

I only see one piece?! But from what i do see ur piece is cool man of steel. Seems kinda like a jacked Vageta with no hair, but i think u captured atlas' struggle.
