Anyone reading this? It's really good. Second issue just came out wednesday. First issue was fun, second issue def stepped it up. Really digging this. Reminds me of Planetary, or B.P.R.D but not as serious. Had me laughing outloud in some spots. Check it out!

Sure! Mystery Society is written by Steve Niles with art from Fiona Staples. I've never read anything else from Steve Niles. I know he writes 30 Days of Night. But anyway. The first issue came out last month and the title alone got my attention. I skimmed through it and decided to try it out. I'm really glad I did. I've been looking for something new to add to the ol' pullbox.
The first issue was pretty much set up, with the two main characters being introduced. Now that I've read the second issue this is what we've learned so far. A husband and wife come into a lot of money and decide to start the Mystery Society. What they do is try and debunk or find out the truth behind supernatural phenomena. In the first issue, Nick Mystery is seen breaking into Area 51, fighting robots and such to rescue two psychic twins. We are also intoduced to Secret Skull, who is an actual goul. She promptly joins the new team. In the second issue the twins show off some really cool powers, and another strange character joins the team in the form of Jules Vern's disembodied brain in a robot suit.
The dialogue is pretty humorous at times, and the art is crisp and simple. Staples is really good at facial expressions. All around this is just a fun comic. It pretty much has everything I look for in a comic. Something out of the ordinary just beyond our own reality, mixed with good doses of humor and explosions. Pick it up!
Sounds good; thanks!

I read the first issue and liked it, the artwork is pretty good as well. I haven't had the chance to pick up the second issue.
