Don't really understand this line of thinking since they do show the film in regular 2d as well, shouldn't really affect you in the least.

Well it kind of does because they will base the saturation of colors because of the limitations of the 3d medium as well as the shot selection may be influenced by what gives the most oomph in 3d.

That's more for extreme cases like Avatar tho.

What they should be more worried about is the archaic way we still view movies. A blue ray ,and the best oled tv is far better in picture quality then the best film screen, not to mention there isn't the massive motion blur due to the low frame rate on pans.

I WISH they did where I live. I think smaller cinemas will have to choose one format and if the fad is 3d then that's all they serve. It's a pity. I think I'd have preferred it in 2D.

    I just saw it.

    Best. Movie. Ever.

Seriously, I was welling up during several scenes, just from the realization that this is one of the best superhero movies EVER made. It was so well done that it just raised the bar higher than it ever was before. And that's saying something.

Wow. I already knew Whedon was an incredible talent. This just confirms it for the rest of the world. Fastest film to $1 billion worldwide. Just incredible.

Marvel, reboot the X-Men and put Whedon in charge. Please.
Money can't buy you happiness, but it will pay for the search.

They have cinematic motion blur just not the blurriness you see from when the camera pans in the cinema.

It really degrades everything in the shot.

I like seeing films in 2d because I buy my tickets at Costco, and I would have to cough up extra cash along with my ticket to see it in 3d. To me, 3d doesn't really add much to the experience, I'm satisfied with 2d.

Unfortunately, it did. Since they didn't show it in 2d in my local cinema, for some reason. Besides, my date wanted to see it in 3d :P

Trust me, if I can, I always go for 2d.
I just dread the day when choosing won't be an option.

    Quoted for truth.

Throw in the fact that this is on track to be one of the biggest movies of all time, and Whedon is a new movie GOD.

I so wish this would over take Avatar and just be the biggest damn thing EVER!!!
