LOL, even though it sounds strange I lmost hope it's true but I thought for sure there'd be more of an alcoholic hint in the IM bottle.

I'd like to see Annihilus as the villain. We've seen the Arthrosians recently, and they're basically all drones that look alike, and are smaller versions of Annihilus. That fits with the toys, assuming Annihilus is the big guy with the wings in the back.



At the end of Thor, the Bifrost is destroyed and Loki falls into the vortex it creates. In Avenger's interviews, Hiddleston refers to it as a "wormhole", so it dropping him into the Negative Zone isn't too outlandish. Also the Negative Zone and Asgard have intersected before in the 616 continuity, because they're supposed to be close together within the multiverse/world tree. In that storyline, Annihilus beat Thor and all the Asgardians except Odin.

Most importantly, it gives the Avengers someone worth fighting. If the endgame of the movie is just blowing up spaceships and squashing grunts, it's going to be disappointing. If it's just "we beat his troops, now we kill Loki again", it's going to be disappointing. If we get a Skrull that uses each of their powers like that craptastic version of Deadpool from Wolverine Origins, it's going to be disappointing.

Annihilus following Loki through from the Negative Zone to usurp his chances of taking over, or one of those grunts getting powered up by the cosmic cube and becoming Annihilus? That gives you a guy who can go toe to toe with the full Avengers squad and put up a good fight, and that's a big badass ending.

Of course that's all just my opinion, not that it matters since I'll be there opening night regardless.

The people in charge of this stuff don't think apparently. They finally realized that the Hulk should look like Banner and Banner like Hulk. It's common sense.
