I don't know why you'd want to have it follow the books with pin point accuracy anyway. If you've already read it then you'd know everything that wads going to happen. Might as well just re-read the comic if you just want the same story.

Again- I am MORE than okay with the show not following the books. But it worries me if they leave content out for no good reason whatsoever, or replace it with stuff that just plain sucks.

For example. I was totally okay with Daryl and Merle. They weren't in the comics, but they had a place on the show. Daryl is like everyone's favorite character now, so hey. And I'm excited for all the possibilities behind Merle's return.

Now let's take this as opposed to, say, T-Dog. We're obviously not going to ever see Tyreese on the show. And why? Because of T-Dog, who's been a stupid waste of space since day one. Was there any sort of reason behind this? Why?

I agree with PTX. Stray but not for the heck of it.

I wasn't accusing you of anything. Just making a general statement. I agree with you on straying and not improving on material.

I totally agree on the T-Dog sucking, part. Tyreese was one of my favorite characters in the comic. I'm not sure why Lori is so unlikable in the show, either.

I hope the prisoners are in the show. It's a perfectly organic way to add new members to the group, even if it's just for zombie-kill purposes a few episodes later.

This show is good television, and brings an ever increasing audience to comic book material. We should all rejoice...

I just realized WHY we have TDog there. If you don't know in the Graphic Novels of Walking Dead, there is NO TDog. There is a guy by the name of Tyreese. He has a teenage daughter.

Tyreese is a freaking BAD ASS. Former football player, loving father, and he beats Ricks ass for crossing him. Tyreese is an Alpha male. Tyreese looses his shit when his daughter goes to commit a suicide pact with her lame boyfriend, but he backs out at the last minute.
Tyreese has a fit and kills the boy...they both come back as zombies and he puts them both down. Never mind the fact that he also takes out a basketball gym filled with walkers WITH A HAMMER, BY HIMSELF.

And can't forget he gets it on with the white wimmins...
    .

i'm going to get hella negative reps for this, but yeah, the white folks in the studios would NOT go for a strong black male figure (who isn't a comedian) overshadowing Rick, not in front of millions of viewers.

Don't be so negative. They're gonna get Tyreese into the show, and I think I know how:

T-Dog: I'm tired of being called T-dog! Nobody takes me seriously because of that. From now on... call me Tyreese.

    And then he gets killed.

And the neverending head shots are irritating me. I accepted the constant head shots in the second season finale, and was willing to accept more of that in coming episodes, but a 12 year old kid getting head shots from 50 feet away with a glock is just ridiculous.

I have been saying this from the start. 100%.

As long as they are true to the characters in the comic, which they mostly have been (although Andrea in the show seems, at least last season, less willing to follow Rick to the ends of the earth...since she seemed to side with Shane. Also, Maggie and Carol in the show seem to contribute a but more to the group than their laundry-doing counterparts in the comic), then I am fully okay with some of the content changing.

As long as we get some of the things we need, like the prison, then it's okay if getting there is a little different, or different people die or live or hook up or whatever. Makes the show way more interesting.
