I'm probably the guiltiest of taking more than half an hour for my entries. Most of the time I try to keep it under an hour but sometimes I just lose track of time and go on without noticing how long it's been. In a way, I sort of treat WSG as the "Weekly Drawing Group." I guess it's because if I picked my own topics, I'd be drawing nothing but nude women and Wolverine all day (he has a funny haircut). Maybe I just need to get a timer or something.

WSG's been invaluable for giving me topics and ideas for characters I've never drawn before and it lets me sort of find my way and screw around with different styles and techniques, so while I'm replying, I want to thank Manji for keeping WSG going and it being a huge help and influence in my artwork :]

Boy, this on is late, I did start last week if that helps. I spent way too much time on this one (like usual). Perhaps the longest I have spent on any picture in a long time. However, I wanted to use it as an experiment. I've been thinking of submitting something for Zuda. So I wanted to use the topic to see if I could get the format right. I think that much is a success.

Does anyone know what the accept / reject ratio for Zuda is? If less than 10% make it into the competition it may not be worth the effort.

What? It astounds me that people would care about work being too polished. I would guess if the artist wants to spend extra time on their work that's their own damn business. Some people take these boards way too seriously.
