You have to have so many posts ( i think 150) to be able to add a pic.
Hi , Im having trouble adding a profile picture, it gives me this reason;
Sara_Fox, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Although I am new, my account has been activated ( through e-mail) so I was wondering if maybe I need to do something else in order to add one?
You have to have so many posts ( i think 150) to be able to add a pic.
Wow, this is the first time I've ever herd that! I wonder why?
Maybe to save server space. There are over 14000 registered members and if everyone had a 50 kB userpic it'd take up about 700 MB of space. But only a bit over 2000 people have stuck around to make over 25 posts, 846 over 150. Also probably to stop dodgy new members from uploading nasty pics.

Well, according to the person who owns the site (PJ) you have to have 150 posts - (see post #2 in that thread).

okay, about the avatars. I love avatars. I like looking at everyone's artwork. I don't like criticizing everyone on their art because I think how and what you draw is a matter of personal choice, but I would still like to have an avatar. Is there any way the amount of posts can be lowered or the rules rewritten on having a profile pic?

If you contribute regularly (write critiques, post topics, or reply in general), you can have over 100 posts inside a month. Heck, I remember a kid who posted 100 times in a day. Just be lucky you're asking for an avatar and not a user title.

The rule is in place to solicit participation in the site. Think about it, what good is uploading an avatar when you don't post enough for people to bask in its glory? You're just wasting your time otherwise, since you'll spend most of it lurking.
