I get where your coming from with the what you grow up with though, I grew up with Bruce Timm stuff and for me its those designs that are the right ones, when I read Batman I hear Kevin Conroy as his voice and Mark Hamill as the Joker etc.

Yikes, London, that place is far too big for a simple northern bloke like me, I've been a few times and got lost every single time. Yeah crack skulls, I'm current retraining to continue my work as a bouncer, the most hated of all professions aside from maybe traffic wardens haha, but theres so much regulation and laws now the image of the bullying bouncer should disappear soon, you can't be an asshole anymore not that I would want to be anyway. Ironically I'm known among my friends as the guy who hates on the 90's none stop, but thats hardly fair, I love Waids Flash (I miss Wally), Marz's Lantern, Starman, the JlI and Morrison's JLA, I suppose I mostly dislike the excessive Image and Marvel stuff, which is ironic as now I adore Image more than any other company.
