When you open yourself up for a critique, you're necessarily making yourself vulnerable, and in a certain way of looking at it, you're asking people to "hit" you.

If someone offers a critique you really don't like, you're as free to ignore it as they are to post it.

Learn to take it and to focus all that energy, negative and positive, into your work.

From a functional perspective, I have to mention this - as the one requesting the "hits", it's your responsibility to be the gracious if someone offers criticism you don't like or agree with. Learn to take criticism analytically - being honest with yourself, take what you can use and let the rest roll away like water off a duck's back.

Smitty gave you some tremendous advice, though I know some of it may feel harsh. But there are folks who would pay good money to get comments such as that.

Don't let it bring you down - let it fire you up!

I talked to Terry ( Penciljack himself ) he told me the old forum was on the verge of collapse..and so made the decision to up grade us before it was too late...he mentioned once we got use to it..we'd find it better and with new features...
