Wanted to work on something other then the Cyborg design. I had this design for a female robot bouncing around in my head. The protrusions on the back are actually for wings that are made of energy, to be drawn in later. Just wanted to get this out on paper to see what would come from it.
drawn during the commercial breaks for V... about 15 minutes actually.

This is more of a conceptual critique, but... Why would a robot need breasts? This comes up a lot in critiques of science fiction; the basic idea is that technological enhancements/cyborgs/robots, these things would make gender *less* important and less pronounced. And yet, the opposite is often the case in imaginative fiction.
From an artist's point of view, I can appreciate the difficulty in expressing gender on a mechanical body, but when I look at the piece, those boobs seem accentuated to an almost silly degree.
Otherwise its got some good design vibes, feels like a blend of mecha with some greco-roman touches. I'd be interested to see the later versions.

I agree, I guess to cover the reason why the robot has breast is because I was going to have it look human in regards to the story, just a thought, but definitely a way to explain boobs on a robot.
As for the size, compared to what I normally see in some artists, I thought they were on the small size, but I can definitely redo the image to make them smaller. I am not going for the huge oversize look. Thanks for the critique.

Its not the size so much as the delineation. Seems like they are completely separate components, instead of just part of the shape of the torso. It really draws attention to them, IMO.

Maybe one elongated shape , more like a thorax-like breast plate. Either way it still reminds me of Acroyear(?)'s girlfriend.

I am open to all suggestions, one elongated shape does make more sense. The design is by no means finalized, thank you again.
