Great job by both here .

Armstrong your action and even elements of your style really remind me of Ron Lim and brings me back to a day when I was so much more excited about comics ( which is an odd statement cause they still excite me to no end ...It puts me in touch with me when I was just really digging into it all )

Hangman , Your SunSpot has been watching DBZ , huh? Its an awesome take on the character .

Been a few of these lately but I really am going to have to think on this for a day at least .

Hey Armstrongarts, just wanted to say why I voted for the other piece and not yours. The quality of your drawing is good, I really like your touch with the pencils. What really blows it for me, is that there's no *punch* to the action. It all comes down to some rules of animation-anticapation, action - followthrough. In an illustration you need to combine all three in one image. It needs to be a lot more dramatic, I don't feel the punch. I can see it, but the poses need to be more dramatic and your facial expressions don't add to it either. I think she side stepped to avoid his punch, but he should lean in more like losing his balance, he obviously expected impact so he would toople over and his face should be shocked, like "OMG I missed?"Just work more on dynamic poses and you'll be top dog.

Got ya, I get what you are saying for comic books, but when i miss, (in that hundredth of a second afterward) if my face changed expression it would be one that was more pissed, more snarling. He didn't miss though he is smashing into her with his shoulder. As far as if he was missing, Sunspot is a seasoned combatant, it would be like seeing a reaction from Anderson Silva if he missed a guy. If is not like Sunspot doesn't know Selene is skill. He is not fighting a grandma that dodged him, he is fighting a costumed villain that has been alive for thousands of years. ;)

This has been very tough , both are done extremely well by both artists
Both do have some issues to them , Armstrongs action could be a bit more clarified as I thought he was charging into her with his shoulder not swinging a hit on her . Hangman has some elongated limbs and some areas where the background feels a bit tooney to fully mesh with the rest of the piece.

I vote Armstrong , though I wish I could have voted for both .
Great work guys
