I voted lightweight.
Hey Pop, thanks for the vote. I was jus curious as to why you voted the way you did

I almost voted middle due to the perspective, but went light because upon closer inspection the buildings are very misaligned, on different planes and at varying angles. It's a great piece but it has it flaws. Hope that helps, man.

Lightweight. I voted that way because you have some issues here and there (anatomy, perspective etc) but with work and corrections you will improve quickly I'm sure because your lines and style aren't bad. You will be a very strong light weight and will probably move up quickly. Best of luck just BE SURE TO MAKE DEADLINES! This has been an issue in the lightweight division.

Thanks Sadman. I wanted some of the buildings to be pointed at different agles to add some variety. However It probably came a little off since I jus tried to wing the buidings that are turned instead of finding the diagonal vanishing points and all that stuff to do it properly
Thanks Manji for the kind words

I feel ya bud I have done the same thing myself on occasion. I sometimes, and I am guess this got you too, try to go for too much and it ends up biting me in the butt. nine times out of ten the simple perspective (even if it is a 3 point) is the best way to go. Too many different vanishing points and angles is painful to look at. It is far better to do a simple 3 point or even a 2 pointer very well then to go over board and not do it well.
Ok ok, I am not trying to start a fight here, but can we get over the bashing of the lightweight division. I feel like I need to stand up for us a bit here. I know that the first match-ups were not a stellar turn out and it needs to be worked on, but bashing the whole division seems to be counter productive. I would like to point out that most of the guys that missed have apologized, and that only one person in the match-up needed to be late to have the match up not happen. That means that more than half the division was fine. Also (and this is not intended to piss anyone off) but the light division was not alone in the no shows. Life happens and people need to prioritize. It is and was bad that some people had to drop but it is over so can we just move on?

yeah. I guess next time I will just keep the background simplier with the buildings all pointing the same way, which will be easier to do anyways

Hey there Steve. WOW, great work. However, with that being said, and with no offense meant, I voted Lightweight. To be honest it is more of a reflection on the level of competition that is currently present in the PUMMEL league then as a comment on your ability. I have to admit I mulled over putting you in the middleweight division, but I think you would be more competitive in the lightweight division right now. Your forms are coming along nicely, and your backgrounds are solid (with some tweaking though), but there are guys in the lightweight bracket who could take you on. I know I have had to face them. To put you in the middle weights means that I am comfortable that you could out draw most (if not all) of the light weights, and handle a good portion of the middle weights, and right now I think you would be more successful as a light weight.
As for the lightweights being put down ... or looked at as a lower class of competition ... that is definetly a miss conception. IMHO the top tear competition in the lightweight division cold definetly hold its own against some of the middleweights.

I take your image and I put it alongside the best images from the lightweight, middleweight and heavyweight PUMMEL rounds. I look to see if you would have a chance against any of those images. Then I vote accordingly.
