Guys, there's a reason she's called Big Barda. Neither of you made here look like Big Barda. I gave my vote to Gadgetwk since his looks the better here.

Pretty close battle, so little things like arm anatomy ended up swaying my vote. Mr Miracle's arm in Doom's looks dislocated at the shoulder and the elbow. Barda has a similar effect going on although not as bad as the issue with Mr. Miracle.

I voted giggity Gadget because he has a fun, energetic style
that is easy to read.

Doom, i can see the perspective you are going for, but it is
undermined by the objects on the ground and the line
indicating the wall and floor. Props to you for going for the
hard angle but don't be afraid to use construction lines
for the bg like you did with the figures. You tweak stuff
like that you'll improve your work heaps.

Wow, could you two make this any harder to vote on? This is some great stuff for a 24 hour challenge. I was expecting to see Jack Bauer when I clicked the link :p (although a challenge drawing stuff from the series 24 with a 24 hour deadline would also rock).

I'm having a very hard time voting on this one. I love the energy and movement in Gadgetwk's drawing, and I love the angle and attitude in Doomsmith's drawing. There's just something about the lines and style that Gadgetwk used that makes it come together better in pencils (the contrast is uniform, and all the shading is clear).

I think if Doomsmith were to take this to inks and use Lineweights to really establish the perspective and separate the characters and other elements, it could very well be the stronger piece, but so far I think it's struggling a little because of that. It's a killer piece still with a tough angle, so mad props for going that route.

I think I have to vote for Gadget this time, though...But even then I still feel bad. Great competition, you guys!

You're right about the construction lines for the pic. I should've used them for the ENTIRE pic. Surprisingly it's convincing enough to make you think I did, I must be doiong something right, since this is all freehand.


If I can come up with this in 24 hrs. I can imagine what I can do in a week!

good job doom. this has remained a tight competition the whole time. your piece is great, i do see some anatomy problems but the angle and energy is really good. really dynamic piece.

I do like the perspective of Doom's there's something about the action in Gadget's that gets my vote.

A picture with a high contrast of black and white draws my attetion like a electro magnet. So right off the bat I wanted to vote for Gadgetwk without a secound though.

I really want to look at both subjectivly, not just got with my first impression.

I look at Doomsmith's picture and see all the cool things he did. A nice camera angle, a story element, and some good rendering.

I cant help but pause before I vote.
