I much prefer posting what you've got to a forfeit. At least we get to see one's skill...and Selkirk is skilled.

I agree.

Not that there's really anything bad about Selkirk's work... they just never seem to be finished or constructed in a way that would say it's a finished illustration. I always get the feeling I'm looking at a sketchbook piece. Or thumbnail ideas for something that could be fleshed out a lot more.

I think that has to be the next step in the progression. Lets see something that's completed and fleshed out.

Haha....Selkirk, love your optimistic attitude, my friend! Glad your taking this as lighthearted as you are! Your piece is something to be proud of too, just not quite as polished! Good job guys, went with Thrashart tho!

Selkirk...I see where you're going with your drawings...Its kinda like those old school high school graduation pictures where the person is in focus at the bottom with their diploma, and there's a watermark of them in the top corner as well. So I can see what you're trying to do. I think to capture that...you might have to ink your work...and probably go as far as coloring it so it gets your point across.

I went with Thrash, not because of that, but because to me, it seems like he's experimenting with new stuff for the sake of not staying stagnant, and you gotta love that.

with all due respect nick that's impossible. there are huge differences between the two characters-namely baroness wears glasses :D .
