From what i understand if you post a piece of artwork, and put it online any company can use it without asking unless you register your drawing. I doesnt belong to you unless you pay. If this bill passes.

Concept art just released a portfolio/ registration datebase to see if they curb it before it gets passed by congress.

I hope so, but i guess alot of art register domain names have been bought up. You never know if they will try to push it again. I also thought it was cool that you can put a porfolio on there site, and you can uploaded your art directly to concept art .org onto there database.

It did, sort of. But it's not "completely dead". It passed the Senate, but was never voted on in the House, which means it could, and most likely will, be resurrected in the new session.

I've been hounding my Representatives and Senators about it for several months now.

Current status (http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s110-2913)

Write your Representatives and Senators!!

fixed that for ya.

And hopefully it never sees the light, but knowing douchebag-ery of politicians I'm sure it will.

Are you saying that Schoolhouse Rock was wrong friend?!? Are you? 'Cause I clearly remember that they have to go and pass in the House before they can go onto to be voted on in the Senate and finally be signed into law by the Pres mang. :p

i think it's cuz the senate introduced this bill, so it goes that way around.. plus the house has to approve the amendment
