Saw Loston's on Deviantart, felt inspired to try my hand at it as well-- mine isn't much of a redesign, though. More of a reimagining of the existing icon. Fun sketch group!

All the Wonder Women are great, though many are more like Wonder Strippers. There's nothing wrong with that. :D And literacysucks, that Spidey montage is very nicely done - great angles!

Hey i'm a week behind! I hope its not too late to join. After jeremy showed me this group i decided i was going to try and join in order to work on my art skills. HOpe that's ok :)

Here's my Redesign for Diana. I decided (since i'm a History, English and Mythology geek) to go with a more tradition idea of what amazons may (if they existed) have looked like. Hope you all enjoy. I was quite proud of this one when i got done. I"m slllllooowly improving.

For some reason i want to here her shout "THIS IS SPARTA!!" lol... that or "THIRTEEN!!" (which only Rome fans are going to get).

Yes, real Amazons remove the breast on the side of their dominant hand to improve their archery ability, atleast according to BKV. ;)

hee hee, yes i too am a Bryon K Vaughn fan, however I knew about the missing boob thing before Y the last man. God and of course now i can't think of which Greek Philospher it is that mentions the Amazons and their missing mammory gland... hmmm... crap. I fail. This is why I have a masters in Medieval Lit. LOL. I'll have to ask my friend. He has a Phd in the Classics. I'm sure he's run into it. I read about it back in grad school and remember saying outloud "JESUS!" (as i am a girl AND an archer so the idea seems extreme).

Anyway thanks guys, i'm glad you like it (and in some cases find it disturbing ROFL!). >D

You know the more i look at this design the more i like it. I might write a 6-7 pg script off this design. After all I'm a writer, I just draw to kill the writer's block. :) If anyone's interested I'll probably put it up in the writer's area when i get it done :)
