I'm up for it, I'll do an EU pic probably something from the Clone Wars era. Maybe an Underwater Kit Fisto pic, some Arc Troopers or a Separatist Commanders pic. All cool stuff, I'll post some ideas later.

I think it's just fine, Star Wars is Star Wars and it doesn't matter what part of SW it is. It's like having a Batman villain draw off but you can't draw all the villains. It's ridiculous. There's a time to be topic specific, but this isn't one of them. Besides, I don't want to restart as I've already got some ideas on paper and it wouldn't be fair to change a topic after a D.O. has started.

It still is. Draw a pin-up of anything from the Star Wars universe. It might help to tell everybody the character and era he/she/it may be from, but that's up to CrazyDiamond.

^That^ is freaking awesome, Sion is my favorite Sith Lord. if I could offer one crit though, I'd make the left side of his face more jagged and rougher looking. Right now it just seems too blurred and unnatural. But still very cool. ;)

yeah I exaggerated the neck a bit I think It looks awkward cause its a bit long but it was just to get an idea of Sion's face structure. At least my interptretation on it. I'll be working on the entry this weekend though. :cool:

Wow, they are kinda similar. But I think the pieces themselves have enough differences to distinguish themselves apart. For example, yours is much more dynamic (therefore cooler) than mine. + that background.

It's still the 28th where I am, so I thought I should go ahead and do a bit more with my colors. Still quick-style, but much better than flats.

I wouldn't say better, just for different tastes. Your shaded drawing is amazing but the flats has the advantage that it lets the linework be seen more clearly.

Also flat coloured pictures can bring a character alive in a different way to shaded pictures. Because with a shaded picture you get a feeling you are looking at a living object whereas a flat coloured picture feels as though you have to bring that character alive yourself. Hence empathy etc etc.

Anyway my two cents. Both are amazing.

Babycakes: I am immensely jealous of your "quick-style" colors. What I wouldn't give to pull off something like that.
