Iron Lantern vs The Ring (cross between Sinestro and The Mandarin). I had to draw the rough for this one as I need to work out the kinks of how they're going to be using their powers.

I actually thought of doing an Ironlantern vs. Mandarinestro also and then, somehow, I got confused and thought this was a weekly sketch group. Maybe I'll post something more complete later. Oh yeah, the ring is in his chest.

I believe there is a trade paperback with all the amalgam comics collected. How about some off the wall combos like Plastic Man and Man Thing?

I swear to you that I've never read that book (I never read ANY Amalgam books) but I might've just subconsciously used the names since I probably thumbed through the book all those years ago. The ring in the chest thing I just figured made sense if we were mixing these two characters.

The fights with marvel characters vs. Dc characters that lead up to them were kinda cool. My personal favourite moment being Aquaman dropping a whale on the Submariner, but generally it was pretty lame once the two universe incarnate guys (who totally came off gay) decided to join into one entity.

i'm back from vacation! good to be back. Yeah I had no clue they already mixed iron man and green lantern! i will pick a more odd mix next week. I agree thats not much of a mix they did with iron man and GL anyhow.. looks like they didn't put much thought into it at all.

I realize "Iron Lantern" probably looks just like Iron Man so here's a color version (sorry, coloring on Photoshop is not my forté but I tried my best to make it look good) for you guys to get a better idea of what I was thinking.
