I would hang this in my home.
Really special.

I like it personally. The right side seems quite harmonious colour wise, while you've got the left side giving contrast. It works well because of this reflecting concept with the linework.

Man, why don't you post more? we miss you!

Otherwise, very fine illustration, your lines are more delicate than ever. I'm not really sure about the clothes and background colors though, but I guess that's personal taste.

Personally, The overall design is not to my taste.

The figure is wonderful though.

I always loved the way you drew people - and it'd be excellent if you started posting frequently again. :)

The figures are absolutely beautifully drawn. I really like this except I'm not feeling the colour. I think you always have to think carefully about using red/green together, as that often makes me think of christmas, whether that is a thought that should be conjured to mind by the piece or not. At least thats how I feel that particular colour combination, perhaps I'm just odd.

Good stuff though.

Thanks guys! Yeah i know, i barely draw anymore...for some reason i've been very unmotivated! I'd like to post more but yeah, i never have anything to post. Most of what i start i never finish and school takes up alot of time. Oh well its almost summer and hopefully i'll get doing some more stuff and finish a submission package i started that i hope to send around to the publishers this year!

Thanks!

Beautiful. I like to composition of just the angel on her own, and the rendering of her feet is superb. This reminds me of Michael Parkes (one of my favorite artists).

I feel like there is alot more going on then needs to; the see through/over lapping lines, halos, and vertical bars of color in the center, all clutter the illustration for me. I get the feeling more of a collision in the middle of the page rather than balance on either side.

And, (this is a peeve of mine) the connection between the angel’s back and wings is very thin and almost painful looking (as though the wings are stuck into her like toothpicks, rather then attached by musculature supported by a skeleton)

I like this so much I just had to comment on it, I hope I said something useful.

Thanks, I guess i should explain the composition a lil....i did it as a mock paper CD cover so each half would stand as the front and back and the center as the spine so it might help to think of it like that rather than as it is. I was going for a good/evil thing kinda, like she is torn between the two but i didn't put too much concept into it. I get what you are saying about the clutter as it is tho and about the wings. Thanks for the input! Oh and those dots are just a left over color palette i was using in PS....
