I can't exactly put my finger on what it is, but something about the face on that warrior woman up top really catches my eye. It's kind of simple, with those big, pseudo-cartoony lips kind of like a Philip Bond drawing. Great stuff all around in this thread. I like the barbarian dude up top and the Galactus stuff. Keep it up.

Chris,

It's good to see you studying anatomy. I think you still need to do more research where the torso and arms are concerned though, because the torso and arm at the top of your second page (to the right of the eyeball drawing) isn't correct--particularly where the deltoid connects up with the bicep. Here's an "overlay" image for you with some notes that might prove helpful. I encourage you to seek out some anatomy books that might prove helpful. In this case, you might want to pick up a copy of HUMAN ANATOMY FOR ARTISTS, THE ELEMENTS OF FORM, by Eliot Goldfinger. It's one of the books that taught me a lot about upper body anatomy and function.

This drawing has great form, Chris. I can feel the power and struggle just from the figure work alone. Some of the arm anatomy is a little off hear and there, so pull out some reference images to assist you.

Really like those Conan sketches, by the way. Good stuff!
