New user-couple of sketches

This is my first time posting, but I’ve been visiting for a while. I haven’t drawn is many years, but I want to get back into it. Here are a couple of doodles I’ve done recently…I hope to have some finished work in the near future. These are taken with my digital camera; I’ll try to scan things in next time. I know it’s not much to work with, but comments and criticism always welcome!

Thanks hydekomiksink! It is a conscious effort, though I probably need to focus on the underlying structure for a while and leave the gloss till later. I hope to have something more than sketches soon.

I like to see that you're drawing from life (both people and scenery). If you want to learn to draw, that's the way to do it. There is a lot of nice lighting and attention to detail going on here. Keep up the great work.

Thanks for the encouraging comments! It has been so long since I’ve drawn, and I’m having a blast getting back into it. More to come soon…
