Woo-hoo we made fifty! :lml-: Ok I don't really know why I celebrating because 52 would a full year. Ah...what the hell WOO-HOO!
Ok so I thought for the big 5-0 we would try something a little different. I have noticed more and more people working in digital so this week one project will be for traditional and the other will be more like a digital painting sketch sorta thing. So on to the topics for this week.
Traditional:
Draw Vampirella holding a skull and sitting on a tombstone. This may sound a little boring at first but let's really try to focus on composition and textures on this piece. Make the stone look like stone, skin look like skin, etc.
Digital
Draw the lava monster of Smoke Mountain. This monster is a giant with four horns protruding from its head. Try and really focus on the 'hot spots' of lava seeping from its body and make it glow.
I know these aren't the best ideas ever but still it should be enough to get you going and more importantly let’s all try and focus on the details on these pieces. Take this as an opportunity to focus on areas of your art you may not normally focus on. Anyway enough of my jabber let’s get to drawing.
