What xadrian said.

I can definitely see this style going somewhere. There's just one thing that keeps bugging me: If I had to guess, I'd say that you don't take enough time to prepare before you go in and finish the job. What I mean to say is that if you would take some more time in the sketching phase--making sure that the figures and postures are fluid and natural-looking--the finished versions would look so much more real, if you know what I mean.

very true. Im one of those people who get half way through sketching something and decide i like one aspect of it and the rest looks retarded so i slap ink on it anyways.
But I am going to take your critique very seriously and incorperate that into my sketches i do today and forever more.
gotta kick the nasty habits right? :D

You've got some cool style that shows even now, with some more work and study your art will be great.
Try to concentrate on making some anatomy sketches, i know that it's fun to draw your fav. characters but you need to get some expirience in drawing the human body, legs, arms, head and etc.
Try to draw different objects, just to see how they are built and what they are made of: buildings, cars, planes and whatever you want.

It's good that you're using different kind of tools (pencils, ink...) keep up with that and you"ll have the ability to make whatever you want, painting, drawing, comic book panel...

Anyways keep up with the great job.

Great job, Jolene! That is a very lucky Spidey doll.

My only crits are the arms may need to be a little longer and her eyes are green. I know, I'm such a nerd for knowing that.

Hi Jojo. I enjoyed this one in particular. It's quite lovely.

One tip: hit the perspective books. I'm thinking that, for a person with a normal intelligence, it takes about 10 hours to master the theory of 1,2,3,4 and 5 point perspective. After that, it's practice practice practice of course. But get the fundamentals down, girl.

Ok! I'm sorry I was not helpful at all the other day. I think what I excel at is just wild stuff. I may not be able to help much with what you already draw but I can give you ideas of stuff to try and then give you good feedback on that. Are you up for a suggestion?

Ok, if so, try this: Draw Spider-Woman fighting Dr. Doom. She will be jumping out of the way from one of his blasts. Don't worry about detail or finishing but more on energy, power and fluidity. Just sketch out two or three layouts and post them here.

Anyway, hope you're up for it! I want to see you do really good in PUMMEL :D

If you want, you can think of something that would be challenging for me to draw and I'll give it a shot. :)

I know it's bad form to comment on a comment without making it about the art presented, but I'd like to know if there's a particular book or books on perspective you'd reccommend, Ra?

Yomark: thank you very much! btw a good book on perspective for comic book artists is "Perspective for comic book artists" by David Chelsea

Ra: Yeah Im a bit out of practice on perspective. that whole "pride" thing made me think i was better than everyone else. But a good ol fashioned beat down showed me that I have to go through the motions and use a ruler and learn the basics like everyone else.

Not on the sequentials since they are inked.. But I will be drawing the second page soon and posting the pencils here to get a good c&c before inking.
