It looks like real paint but it seems to go down like transparent strips of cellophane. With the settings I'm using at this point anyway. I keep wanting to make the strokes blend but I haven't quite figured out how to do it.

New costume for Jonn Jonz Martian Manhunter


Jonn Jonz After a another time of solitude - by some volcanoes in the pacific isle is befriended by the people of a kind and wise small village. There he learns many things including fire walking. Also a after "playing" and looking into the smiling faces of so many children for hours he's unexpectedly confronted with a mirror. He see his own Grim visage and wonders why after so long is he still grieving his home his wife and even his shaky relations with humans etc.. Yes his troubles have been many but there is another side. ( I could go on but I'll spare ya) anyway he decides that he's going to change his face as well as his clothes. His feet don't hurt so why wear shoes. Batman teases him about not wearing pants so. The folds of the wrap and cape can hide gadgets and gifts. the red jewel honors Mars. Also the cape and pants are fire retardant and can expand to tightly cover his whole body. When he changed his face to a more pleasant form he felt that it was too peaceful and joyful not reflecting the range of his experience so he added a scar across his head and eye as a reminder of the pain but also as a reminder that scars do heal.

the comment about the comic faces is very helpful. thanks it's hard to see your own traits sometimes.

I'll work on that. but i think , I'm kinda schizo on the 3-d verse 2d -- not computer 3-d but fuller life like stuff vs things that are more like diagram like.

Part of me doesn't want any form. just line. Part wants deep form to pop from the shadows.
All of me just needs to work on my anatomy, especially on the face and neck.

Also that last painting !! Dayum, I love the background and the colours used, also the texture you've got going. I can tell that took quite a bit of skill. I've never done any actual painting on canvas but you do make it appealing I might give it a go one of these days. Good job
