Inspired by The 3 minute sketchboo (http://www.penciljack.com/forum/showthread.php?t=81010)k.

Post your 3 minute sketches here. Post them as much and as often as you like. I'm gonna say they don't have to be exactly under 3 minutes, but try to be keep close to that time. Also post the time it took you to draw it if you can.

There is no way you can get a worthwhile sketch in 3 minutes, but I guess that's the challenge.

1st attempt:
This is as far as I got in 3 minutes:
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/Spyderizzle/3min-daredevill.jpg

And I decided to finish it off, 18 minutes (still not satisfied with it):
http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y93/Spyderizzle/3min-daredevil.jpg

Just something to give to the nephews I guess, plus it did make me realize how rusty I've gotten.

I'll try again later. I'm not gonna be your bitch time!

Wow, three minutes is much less time to create a drawing than I thought it would be. This is three minutes, fifteen seconds:

lmao!!!! I actually saw a dude at a convention once, he made up a Wyatt Earp in less than 3 minutes, wish I had the sketch to prove it. Don't remember his name.

it was tight though,

This is not as much fun as I thought it would be. 3 minutes is not long at all. here is my 3 minute disaster. might try it again later and concentrate on a head shot or something.

Nah, just comics.

Interesting your mind should go to architecture and design as I consider them two of my greatest weaknesses.

I'm no where near as good as any of these but I just started with the eyes using my graphics tablet and ended just before 3 mins because I timed inaccurately, then spent an extra three mins trying to see how much color I could get done.
I sketch quiet quickly but it was a lot less time then I thought it would be. I think its a good idea for a threat though definitly.

After looking at antquinonez's Supes and Loston's Krypto all I had in mind was Supes.

Mine's pretty plainsauce. This really is tougher than it sounds, especially if you're a dawdler with the pencils like I am.

And will I come off looking like a fawning fanboy if I say that I nearly crapped my pants when I realized who "Smitty" is. Because I did. We're in the company of a true legend, folks!

try 2 (at 3 minutes i stopped drawing. I think i could've kept adding stuff):

I completely agree. I still consider myself very new to PJ and this just proves how much I have missed over the years. Thanks for bumping this back up.
-I think I am going to try and do all future 3 minute sketches with a brush or brush pen. GREAT PRACTICE! For now I just did a quick Batman with a dying sharpie just to get this thread moving again.

3 minutes? Actually that's quite generous. I remember back in my oekaki days they would have the 60 second challenges. Man, some of the stuff those cats could draw in one minute!

I'll definitely try to do some stuff for this! :D
