Don't fall in love with poses. Try to get away from Liefeldian and Leefeldian poses with that forward leg. Draw it like you think it would look in reality then slightly exaggerate it. Keep em coming.

This is a preview for greendris' drawoff redesign xmen girl. Still coming up with ideas for her outfit but this is it as far as the face goes. I won't let on on who it is yet.

What about a cross eyed girl with a bangin' bod? j/k. I think it applies to most guys with the 'eyes first' bit. It's not like you are going to look at tna when you're talking to women. Most of the time anyways. It's embarrassing being caught out :D

This is Darth Revan vs Darth Nihilus. Coolest star wars cats imo.
Anywho these guys are really dark and use lots of shades of grey but I didn't shade them in so I can color them. Hopefully I can find the time between my comic and this. I would really like to see this colored. :cool:

That's a cool tutorial Dr.B. Glad you did one because you have a very different approach to what other people do.

I can't say I'm crazy for the design though. I think the claw grabbing the crotch is a lil distrating ;). I guess it's the crazy personality of the character tho.

And I saw the finished colours on your iron man piece at your deviantart account. I'd go with an open hand in the foreground to give him a little bit of a more powerful pose. What? He doesn't have a repulsor ray since he has a big ass gun?

I must say I prefer that one in the pencils, the background was very distracting in the coloured version where as this is just simplified down to what's important. great tones.

I agree with cold-blooded-angel. The raw pencils are a lot cleaner and easier to read than the coloured version you submitted.

Regardless, it's good to see some experimentation with colour.

cold-blooded-angel-Yeah I don't have a definite style of coloring in PS. I'm always trying different things to see what sticks. I really should have just concentrated on pencils. I also feel my entry was too saturated. Wish I had put more time into it. :confused:

Hated having to rush this in a few hrs for the draw-off, especially since I see the potential for it to be a good piece. When I find the time I'll revisit and work out his right hand. The drawing actually goes to his knees but cropped it for the draw-off.

This is for the first round of the PUMMEL tourney.
Topic: Deathstroke vs Deadpool

Wanted to push myself a little with the backgrounds. FIrst it was Conan vs Kratos, now this. Hopefully I can learn perspective quickly!

Note: I HATE perspective lines...

Anywho just started this today, only leaves me about two days to finish, well theres goes my beauty sleep. :p

Yeah ... I was thinking the same thing ... I have seen rough lines layed out for the bones ... but never the ACTUAL bones drawn out this way ... great work.

heh thxs guys, the bones just help me visualize the poses, i used to do stick figures but then my drawings kept looking flat.
