I got friday tickets but still need to go for Saturday. Anyone here got any ideas how my friend and I can still attend???

I'll try to hit up BOOM! since I did do a cover but if that doesnt work, I'm going to need some hook ups.

Well all 32 hotels on the sdcc site are completely booked, what does that tell you?

If someone could find a place for me to crash, I could possibly hook them up. I believe I have at least one or more guest passes that are going to waste.

Although now I'm not even sure if I'm going. Seems to be some problem with my flight booking. Won't know until tomorrow (which is nice for planning, since this shindig is two days off now).

Well, when I last attended in 2005, I was so turned off by the massive crowds, that I left on Friday morning around 11am and never went back, and I had bought a 4-day.

You know that once a convention is making the News section in Entertainment Weekly, it's going to be forever insane. Now with movie stars attending every year, people are just going because they want to see celebrities and stuff. It shouldn't even be called a "comic" convention anymore. It's gone waaaaay past that.

I agree. There should be some kind of verbal, comic quiz before you can get in. Last year was the worst Ive seen it and this year looks to be the samething again. Apparently I have a cousin or something who works for the convention center so I may be getting in on Sat... we'll see..

Yeah I just found out that it was sold out, but last year around the afternoon time when people start leaving they let people in for a cheaper price. That's what I'm hoping on.

It's funny...it's doubled is size as far floor footage since the late 90's but there's less there, as far companies, artists, and dealers.

LOL Great idea! Man if it's SOLD OUT who would even want to go on that day, not me. SDCC has blown up so big and so fast over the last 7 years or so it makes me a little sad that I never made it out there when it was just a normal comic convention. Oh well, here's to the east coast cons (chicago and over)!

it's best to meet on the outside, after the show. there's so much stuff to see and do, it'll be crazy.

That's a shame that there are people willing to pay that kind of money to get into the SDCC.

So it's a ticket now, rather than a badge?

I think its the Hyatt on Friday night entering the lobby to the bar on the left or right. Check the other SDCC thread.
