Glad you could make it! This is the place where I'll share my art with those of you who decide to visit. Feedback (consructive or otherwise) are welcome and appreciated!

I'm reworking this one. His right wrist is a tad tweaked and his left foot is a bit floppy. At least that's what I've been told! ;)

I'll post the reworked one here in its place once I get to it.

Really diggin' the Sentry illustration, Big Dog! Spidey's pretty cool too, and I like the Jonah Hex piece as well (though I think his horse could use a little work).

Looking forward to seeing more stuff!

You've got an interesting style for sure dude. I'm digging it. And Juan's right, that scarecrow roxxorz my soxxorz. Good job. The killer croc though, I'm not feeling that so much. I think the texture actually hurts more than helps on that one.

Thanks Covie! Yeah the texture might have been a bit much. I should have shaded it to give it depth. Here's the original sketch...

Good drawing of the Question! Gotta say though, I like the Question best when he's in the trenchcoat--it adds a little something to his look, I think.

You know, I had two people pay me to do drawings of the Question at HeroesCon this year! I think his appearance on the JUSTICE LEAGUE animated series has upped his profile a bit!

Good stuff!

Contour drawings of flowers...

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f388/bp1224/contourflowers-post.jpg

Here's one from way back in 1995! It's a prelim for a mural I painted on a wall in East Hall at Appalachian State University. I got 8 hours credit for researching methods, creating & following protocols, and directing 4 other mural artists that semester. It stayed up for almost 10 years! Last I heard they painted over it a few years ago...

Here are a few drawings I did for my fiance. She teaches 2nd grade and they had a Eat-a-Book program this week. Where everyone brought in a book that had something to do with food (at least I think that's it!). And the teachers made food to go along with their book...I actually ate green eggs & ham for two days! :D

I did these two for her and another teacher. I sketched them out in large gestural shapes and drew them in ink. These are 11 x 17.

Just got back from an Unknown Hinson (http://www.unknownhinson.com) show, and it was AWESOME!!! I just found out about this guy today...checked out his website. He's quite the character and one helluva guitar player. Anyway, I decided to draw this:

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f388/bp1224/UnknownHinson-post.png

Looking somewhat like Dracula's nasty little brother who spent some hard years drinking and working as a carnival barker for a second-rate freak show, Unknown Hinson translates that vibe to his style of country and western-tinged psychobilly.

An extra Devil Dinosaur entry for the week...

http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f388/bp1224/devoldino3-post.jpg

This was the first idea that popped in my head when I started researching the character. Kirby's Devil Dinosaur is so outrageous and over the top that the first thing I think about is that it looks like the old rubber suit Godzilla from the movies. Then I actually started drawing the character and had so much fun that I thought about what he went through as he drew it. He HAD to have had fun with it, so I imagined that Jack was actually running around in a giant rubber suit as he created Devil Dinosaur! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did!

This year's book features 24 pages in b&w with a cardstock cover. We're leaving them at the Dollar Bin booth for pick up this year. While you're there stop and talk to Brian, Adam and the guys!

Ended up going for $325! Thanks for contributing and the quick tutorial on Spidey and graytone markers! ;)

Cool! Happy to contribute, man!

As much as I hate to do it, I have to step back from the internet. In part, not in whole. So I'll be disappearing from many of the forums, message boards and threads that showcase my art in an attempt to get more free time to draw and do things around the house. You can still find me on twitter (BigDogsStudio), the occasional facebook post and a few select sites...just not as often.

This isn't really a goodbye thread because I'll peak in when I have time (especially weekends), just not as often. And besides, I'm not that guy.

If you need anything between now and then (especially commissions or trades) drop me an e-mail over at google: BigDogsStudio

Here's one for the road: The Man Called Jayne...

The client gave me liberty to draw any Superman-related character for him and since I've already drawn Lex Luthor and Superman for him on two different occasions I went with my favorite DC viallain...DARKSEID!
