This was some concept art for my dryad race in TRoA (http://www.lorestrome.com/therealmsofaegis/home.htm). I don't think I'm going to use it, but it was fun to paint anyway. I know her legs are large and muscular, and her jaw is wide. I did that on purpose.

Dryads in TRoA are more of a forest people, rather than magical beings whose spirit is connected to a tree, or other fantastic versions. Think, druids, native americans, elves, etc. That's the vibe i'm going to try to get with them, which I felt this image didn't. But no reason not to share it. ^_^

I think I'm keeping the dreds, the freckles, the red hair, just thinking I'll try to make them less barbaric.

I really dig your colouring. It's the type of colouring that looks hand done which really has a human feel to it. I think her legs look fine and the pose is working.

Cool how an idea can span to 15 hrs. Although there's heaps of negative space where the character stands the focus is put to the citiscape. kudos.

Painted from a photo, took about 4 hours. It was for some family, who had lost their dog. This is a gift for them of him. This dog has also biten me several times in the past. =P But he wasn't very big so I don't think it really counted.

Four different playable race concepts for an RTS, done for fun, the first are wild men, this is their lowest unit you send int to die, like zerglings, the second is a race of strange wood guys, didn't develop the concept much more, the third is the steampunk/wealthy race, they're humans also, and the last is a kind of undead/borg type of deal, again not developed much, just done for fun.

And I'll no doubt be laughed out of here for this, but I won't care. I'm tough. =P Some stuff for an anthro project I'm working on.

Toph is one of, if not 'the', my favorite characters from avatar. It is really a toss up between her and uncle, both characters speak to different parts of me. Man, what a deceptively deep cartoon. I love it.

Here we have an older Toph, no doubt sparring with an older Aang. I choose to keep her boyish features, made her thin, kept the bangs to illustrate she doesn’t use her eyes. I think she looks a bit too tall but I didn’t want to mess with it much more so I left it. If she were standing next to another character, her height would still be alright I think. We’d see she’s still short. She’d still be the pint-sized juggernaut we love.
