Sandman seems like he would be more hesitant when it comes to killing. The only thing Clayface would be hesitant about is choosing what weapon shape to off you with.

Clayface is a stone-cold killer, he can manipulate his composition to mimic any solid. He'd find a way to contain sandman, then toss him in a blast furnace... then he's "Glassman"

I think there have been six Clayfaces, whereas there's only been one Sandman. So, if Sandman can survive 30 or so years in Marvel comics without being killed off in some big the-marvel-universe-will-never-be-the-same crossover, I don't think Clayface will pose any threat.

Wow! I totally thought Sandman would lead in votes.
Apparently, Clayface is more powerful than I gave him credit for...
I only really know of his persona from the Batman Animated cartoon on Fox. He really impressed me when he turned his hands into giant crab/lobster claws.
I was all like, "He can do THAT?! That's amazing!"

Honestly this would probably be a stale mate of a match. SAndman could merge with water maybe but I really dont see clayface or sandman winning....
