Aptly named sketch blog since most of my sketches are clipped from my notebook at work.
Various doodles collected from the last 2 years in my notebooks. Special features include Abraham Lincoln with a Lightsabre and Jedi Master Chruchill

S'more. Trying to keep it chronological order thus far.
Some recent work on a more comic and less cartoony style

Working on some female faces since I haven't drawn many of the fairer sex.

Concepting a character's costume - specifically the helmet and roughing out a leather jacket.

Cartoonish Wolverine - buggered up the hand(s). One day I WILL learn not to sketch with my pen ;)

And one of Spidey. again a little cartoony but I was aiming for a similar look to the Jr. Romita's version (angled head webs to shoe facial layout, thinner linework). Only a so-so turnout but I'm still happy with it for what it is.

Wow, almost a month since my last post - yikes.
Well, I haven't been completely idle - managed to find myself a few more resources (such as the incredible Krash Kourse) though with moving approaching at a swift pace, and work being crazy busy, it's amazing I've done anything at all!
Anyway, on to the art. First up are some attempts at better faces - griding things out and some expression work.

And in the same vein I threw together something as a test for perspective on a character. The rain isn't done right and I should have used the character as the central point for it, but I was rushed and didn't think of that till after. Live and learn.

First ever attempted Hulk - I hate the face but the body isn't all a waste.

[Bah, 3 image limit got me again. More coming up next post!]

...And now back to the ever present Spidey (seriously I'm not obsessed, it's just what I tend to doodle up!)
This one was wedged between a few bits of useful info in my book that I couldn't sketch over

For once I had a pencil on hand...

An attempt at an action shot...
...and on a sticky note no less.

More coming right up....

And the last of this batch.
A pose inspired by a slightly cartoonier version I saw in one of the Spidey mags (again, not obsessed..) The hand and outstretched arm really bother me here, but again ink is an unforgiving medium.

And breaking the trend (sorta) a Venom - older style

I think this is one of the pieces I'm happier with. The anatomy isn't so glaringly off too, so that's a plus.
More to come soon, hopefully.
